Natural Pain Relief and Chronic Pain  by on . (Nature Pain)

There is still a lot to be learnt about the body’s response to natural pain relievers such as ginger. However, the fact that there are options to traditional medications, which sometimes work even better for some sufferers, has given persons with chronic pain a ray of hope.

In quite a few cases, pain continues even after the source of the pain has gone. This may be because the person’s natural body chemicals, such as serotonin and endorphin, are no longer present in the amounts that they should be to ensure that pain relief takes place as it normally should.

Depletion of the body’s natural reserves of serotonin and endorphin can also lead to depression. Persons can use exercise to help manage pain. Exercise releases endorphins, gets the blood flowing and encourages healing.

Rose is said to be good for easing not only physical pain but emotional pain as well. It can be used fresh or dried. It can be taken as a tea or used as an essential oil or tincture.

Birch oil works well for relieving pain in the muscles and joints. The oil can be massaged into these areas to bring relief from the discomfort due to overuse and inflammation.

Ginger can be used by persons suffering from arthritis. It can be used as a poultice or as a tea. A steam bath with ginger is good for relieving pain.

St. John’s wort oil can be rubbed on sore areas, such as joints, to ease pain.

Some persons claim to have experienced pain relief when they eat a few gin-soaked golden raisins every day. Eating nine raisins that have been soaked in gin is said to help.

It is better to eliminate the behavior that causes pain early. If there are habits you have that result in pain, such as sitting badly, or not taking regular ergonomic breaks when you are at the computer, it is better to change those habits. Ignoring the signals your body sends, when you notice a twinge of pain, won’t help you in the long run.

When nerve endings get damaged, they sometimes never grow back, resulting in numbness. Sometimes they don’t grow back as they should, or begin to fire irregularly, causing sharp sensations without a cause. The body can tend to operate in a loop with pain, so that a little pain triggers off more pain, when the system is not working as it should.

Systemic Proteolytic Enzymes-Natural Pain Killers  by on . (Nature Pain)

If you want a great natural way to reduce pain and inflammation (back pain, joint pain, muscle soreness, etc), without resorting to dangerous drugs, the answer may lie in Systemic Proteolytic Enzymes.

Proteolytic enzymes, also referred to as “proteases,” are enzymes that break down proteins into their smallest elements. If this breakdown of proteins happens in our gut, we call the enzymes “digestive,” because they help us digest our food. Systemic proteolytic enzymes, however, will pass through the stomach or intestine lining and enter the circulatory system. This is why they are called “systemic” – once they enter the circulatory system, they circulate throughout the body.

The most important thing that systemic proteolytic enzymes do is to break down excess fibrin in your circulatory system and in other connective tissue, such as your muscles. Fibrin is an insoluble protein that is produced in response to bleeding and is the major component of the blood. These enzymes bring nutrients and oxygen-rich blood that remove the metabolic waste produced by inflammation and excess fibrin.

Excess fibrin throughout your circulatory system will severely limit the amount of blood flow to areas that need it the most. Body tries to compensate for this restriction by forcing the heart to work harder and increasing your blood pressure.
Some possible indicators of excess fibrin in your system include: chronic fatigue, slow healing, inflammation and pain, and elevated blood pressure.

The medical community has long known that excess fibrin presents a cardiac and stroke risk. Finally, they have acknowledged a link between excess fibrin and chronic systemic inflammation, the true root cause of virtually every disease and painful condition known to man.

Risks associated with high fibrin in our blood

Excessive fibrin, which causes a reduction in blood flow, can lead to

*Arthritis
*Atherosclerosis
*Back Pain
*Chronic Fatigue
*Chronic Pain
*Fibrocystic Breast
*Fibromyalgia
*High Blood Pressure
*Herniated Disc
*Hyper-coagulation
*Sciatica
*Spinal Stenosis
*Strains and Sprains
*Post-operative Scar Tissue
*Traumatic Inflammation
*Uterine Fibroids

Very few pain killers help heal the body, and in most cases the side effects are rather unpleasant. On the other hand, systemic proteolytic enzymes support the body’s ability to heal itself, and they reduce the signs and symptoms of a chronic condition.

Natural sources of Systemic Proteolytic Enzymes

Bromelain – This special natural compound, which is extracted from pineapple, contains several proteolytic enzymes.

Papain – It is extracted from green papaya, and contains a wide range of proteolytic enzymes and works by breaking down proteins.

Serrazime: Serrazime is a proteolytic enzyme which is derived from edible fungi like Aspergillus oryzae and Aspergillus melleus.

Ayurvedic Natural Pain killers

Ayurvedic herbs like Shallaki (Boswellia Serrata), Nirgundi (Vitex Negundo), Rasna (Alpinia Galanga), Garlic, Ginger, Turmeric, etc have been used for centuries to treat pain due to their powerful anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties, besides their property of supporting healthy blood circulation and controlling the viscosity of our blood.

Natural Pain Management Options  by on . (Nature Pain)

Carrying through the stress of everyday tasks it’s no big surprise that pain has become our constant companion. And with the constant need in pain relief options many advocate the use of so-called natural pain relief methods that are said to be free of negative effects of conventional medications. It is said that some natural pain management methods are so effective that they provide effective pain relief that is comparable to that of typical painkiller medications but without the harmful effects on the body these medications are known for.

So the next time you suffer from any kind of pain in your body, try avoiding typical pain relief methods and give a chance to any of the natural ones. Here is a list of the most common natural methods you can get pain relief with:

Natural painkillers – apart from typical oral medications such as Ultram your local pharmacy will certainly offer you an abundance of natural supplements that provide pain relief effects. Of course, not all supplements can be compared to Ultram or other typical painkiller drugs in terms of effectiveness. However, if you experience mild to moderate pain it would be better to choose a natural option rather than provide a strong impact to your body with usual painkiller medications. Ask the pharmacist about the most effective supplements you can use.

Hydrotherapy – this is considered as one of the oldest methods of pain relief known to man. As the name suggests, it uses water to provide the required pain relief effect. You will need warm water with minerals, oils or sea salt for the necessary effect. It is recommended to take a warm bath with the aforementioned additives for about 15 minutes and you will certainly experience improvements in your aches. This method is particularly effective for chronic pain conditions.

Get the right sleep – lacking the necessary amount of sleep makes your body vulnerable and weakens the ability to withstand pain and regenerate damaged tissues. During sleep, the body renews damaged cells and produces natural painkiller substances in the brain. So it is very important to get 6-9 hours of sleep daily in order to minimize the risk of experiencing pain on a regular basis.

Focus on positive things – pain is a product of our brain and being positive in your thoughts significantly reduces stress and pain as well. When you keep a negative mindset your body produces less painkiller substances and you are at a higher risk of experiencing trauma. So, no matter how silly it may sound, keeping the focus on positive things will help you cope with pain effectively if you experience it.

Herbal solutions – these are often used for treating mild forms of pain in different circumstances. Of course, you won’t get the instant effect of drugs like Ultram, but you will save your body from the unnecessary effects that chemical solutions usually deliver. However, it is recommended to use herbal painkillers only under professional medical supervision. You may miss the dosage and aggravate other conditions when using herbal supplements.

Massage – this is one of the most common and effective forms of pain relief there is. Massaging the aching area is what we usually do intuitively, so there’s definitely a reason for doing this on purpose. The right form of body massage can deliver pain relief in different circumstances and grades of pain severity, so it is recommended to address a specialist if you need a really effective form of pain relief massage.
